RC Helps Provide 1,300 Meals for Illinois Neighbors

Our Purpose here at Red Caffeine is, “To entangle ourselves with our team, clients, and community to fuel meaningful impact.”

We’ve made a commitment this year to be more purposeful in how we do things. That meant using Our Purpose as the foundation from which we live out our core values. We’ve blended two of our ten values, “We Give It Back And Pay It Forward,” with “We Are Intentional In Our Relationships,” together by making the Northern Illinois Food Bank the focus of our philanthropic efforts throughout 2017.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank’s (NIFB) goal is to provide 75 million meals to our hungry neighbors this year. We launched our efforts to support the NIFB in December by sponsoring a virtual food drive with our Red Caffeine Holiday Party Faux Pas Mannequin Challenge Video. So far, our 2017 support has included placing a sponsorship ad for their A Cup of Hope Fundraising Event in March, and Julie ran in their Wheaton Foodie 5K on April 1st! On April 6th, we gathered a group of RC staff and family to volunteer at their impressive food-packing warehouse in Geneva. The RC Team alone was able to pack 1,040 pounds of granola - the equivalent of 866 meals!

This experience was a fun opportunity for us to strengthen our own culture while making a significant difference in the lives of our neighbors.
