David Beats Goliath

KCIC, a consulting firm based in Washington, DC, was looking to propel its presence in the risk management industry, where trust and relationships are paramount. We saw an opportunity to build on the client’s strong reputation, while increasing awareness of its rapidly expanding technology capabilities.

Brand Architecture

A new Brand Identity was in order, but first came months of research during the Strategy phase. All the groundwork paid off when it was time to design a new corporate logo, as well as sub-brands for KCIC's technology platform, blog and newsletter.

A new website is the centerpiece of the digital marketing strategy we developed to elevate KCIC’s online presence. We worked with KCIC to develop a new website that was clean, on-brand and dynamic.

Along with the new website came Risky Business, KCIC’s thought leadership blog that we helped develop, name, and also manage on a daily basis. New blog posts are shared through a monthly e-newsletter, which keeps KCIC in front of customers and prospects.

Tame the Beast - The Ligado Platform

What sets KCIC apart from competitors is their proprietary technology, The Ligado Platform

We helped develop and create a whimsical sub-brand to cast light on a common challenge —managing and organizing a vast amount of important data and documentation.

We developed a story starting with the question, “is your Claim Administration System stuck in the Dark Ages?” and communicating the power of Ligado, and how it can help streamline the claims administration process and “tame the beast” once and for all!

Experiential Marketing

RIMS is a large annual risk management conference, a big deal for those in the industry! For RIMS 2015 in New Orleans, we helped KCIC exhibit Louisiana-style. The New Orleans Survival Kit was given to attendees, and included everything you’d need to survive common "risk-taking" scenarios that could only happen in New Orleans.

The KCIC RIMS experience included Booth Design, Theme Development and Strategic Messaging to align with the client’s specific goals.

Low-Stress, High-Impact Holiday Card

KCIC’s holiday card introduced the biggest company news of the year: they opened an office in Chicago! The die-cut Washington D.C. (where they’re headquartered) and Chicago skylines spread the word of the new office, and the train added a holiday fairytale appeal (Polar Express, anyone??). KCIC employees signed the card, making it a truly personal greeting. We sent a physical card to a short list of clients and prospects and sent an animated eCard to their full list of business friends, partners, and connections.
