Elk Grove Village, located 20 miles northwest of Chicago, is home to the largest Industrial Park in America. Despite that fact, in 2012, the Village struggled with a low-business occupancy rate due to the loss of manufacturing jobs and excessive taxation. The growth opportunity was to launch a bold B2B marketing campaign that would attract and retain businesses. We developed a memorable and relevant brand, summed up in the tagline “Beyond Business Friendly.” Once We established the brand foundation, the Makers Wanted campaign elevated the grow-to-market strategy from local awareness to national market expansion targeting manufacturers and other industrial businesses.
