Kim MacGregor

Content Writer & Consultant

A journalist by training and at heart, Kim loves sniffing out and shaping stories that win hearts and minds and that, ultimately, spur growth. As part of the Red Caffeine team since 2014, she’s worked on a number of accounts, learning and writing about architecture, lighting design, manufacturing, and a range of professional services.

Kim has been called “a bridge between strategy and creative” because clients value her counsel on positioning, messaging and execution. At the same time, she excels at project management — keeping deliverables on track while writing copy and collaborating with designers and developers.

She first honed her craft as a newspaper reporter, before moving to deploy her storytelling skills in an enterprise setting. At a national nonprofit, she helped grow a legacy brand by support its fundraising, advocacy, and internal communications efforts. Later, she oversaw marketing communications at a start-up trade media company. On her own as a solo-preneur, she has worked with various companies and nonprofits to develop content to support their strategic goals — writing hundreds of case studies, video scripts, white papers, bylined articles, and more.

Kim earned a BA in Journalism from Marquette University, where she acquired a strong appreciation for cheese curds. Today she’s an avid runner with four marathons under her belt and an active volunteer in the community where she and her husband have raised their three children for the past 20 years.
